Seller Terms of Service

By opening a store on KasiRoots, you agree to be bound by these Seller Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding contract between you ("Seller") and KasiRoots (Pty) Ltd ("KasiRoots", "we", "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create a store.

To sell on KasiRoots you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your province.
• Be a resident of the Republic of South Africa.
• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Have a valid South African bank account for payouts.

As a Seller you are responsible for:

• Accurately describing all products, including condition, materials, and sizing.
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and updating listings promptly.
• Setting fair and transparent prices inclusive of any applicable taxes.
• Fulfilling orders within the timeframe stated on your store page (default: 3 business days).
• Providing tracking information for all shipped orders.

KasiRoots charges a platform commission on each completed sale. The current commission rate is displayed in your Seller Dashboard. We reserve the right to revise fees with 30 days' notice.

Payments are processed via PayFast. Funds are held in trust for a 7-day security window after order delivery confirmation, then released to your registered bank account weekly.

You may not list or sell:

• Counterfeit, replica, or unlicensed goods.
• Stolen property or items obtained illegally.
• Items that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
• Hazardous materials, weapons, or controlled substances.
• Adult content or items that violate South African law.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension and referral to law enforcement.

If a buyer raises a dispute, you will be notified via email and your dashboard. You must respond within 3 business days with evidence (photos, shipping receipts, correspondence). KasiRoots reserves the right to issue a full or partial refund to the buyer if you do not respond or if the evidence supports the buyer's claim. Buyers are entitled to return eligible items within 14 days of receipt in accordance with our Refund Policy. As a Seller you agree to honour this policy. Refunds are deducted from your pending or future payouts.

KasiRoots may suspend or terminate your store at any time for:

• Breach of these Terms.
• Fraudulent activity or chargebacks exceeding 2% of transactions.
• Dispute rate exceeding 5% of orders in any 30-day period.
• Non-response to buyer disputes or admin communications.

Upon termination, any funds held in trust that are not subject to open disputes will be released within 30 business days.

You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, descriptions). By uploading content you grant KasiRoots a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote it on the platform and its marketing channels.

KasiRoots is a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the fees paid by you to KasiRoots in the 3 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you via email and a dashboard notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
